About

Dr. Heba Haddara

“Over thirty-five years of medicine, I have seen that many people already hold tests, diagnoses, opinions and advice. What is often missing is a physician who brings it together, sets a clear direction, and stays with them.”

My path in medicine

More than thirty-five years, one physician

  1. Where it began

My path in medicine began at Ain Shams University, and then in Clinical Genetics. Genetics taught me why illness, and the response to treatment, differ from one person to another. Working with children and families affected by inherited conditions showed me the person behind each diagnosis, the family around them, and particularly the wellbeing of mothers.

  2. Across countries and cultures

Clinical and laboratory work in hospitals and centres in Egypt, Kuwait and Italy, and years of living and working across different countries and cultures. It taught me how differently people experience and describe their health.

  3. Widening the lens

Further study in Clinical Nutrition and Functional Medicine gave me more than one way of looking at the same story, while medicine stayed at the centre of my work.

  4. Sharing knowledge

Speaking at medical conferences in Egypt and abroad, including women’s health conferences; teaching other practitioners; and awareness seminars and workshops for patients and community groups in Egypt, Kuwait, Libya and Qatar, adapted to each audience. Along the way I also studied classical homeopathy, which I later taught, and trained Arabic-speaking practitioners in biofeedback.

My work sits alongside your other doctors, never instead of them. My concern is not with the diagnosis itself, and I'm not trying to dismiss or challenge a legitimate medical diagnosis.
