How I work

From the whole story to a clear direction

Many people already hold tests, diagnoses, opinions and advice. What is often missing is a physician who brings all of it together, sets a clear therapeutic direction, and stays with them as it evolves.

The method

Four stages, from understanding to treatment

  1. I understand the whole picture

We start with a timeline, from early life to today: your history, an examination, your results and diagnoses, how you feel day to day, and what was happening around you at the time. Alongside your history, examination and laboratory results, I may use biofeedback, a non-invasive tool that adds to the overall picture. It does not diagnose conditions, replace medical tests or treat anything on its own.

  2. I connect what belongs together

Results, symptoms, timing and patterns that were looked at separately are read side by side and in context. The same result can mean something different in a different life: your age, your history, your routines and what you are carrying all change how a finding is read.

  3. I set the therapeutic direction with you

As your physician, I set the direction of treatment, with priorities rather than everything at once, and its first steps. It is built around your life, so it is realistic for you.

  4. I stay with you, and adjust

I stay actively involved. We work through the obstacles that come up, and I adapt the direction as your health and your life change.

My background

One physician. Multiple tools.

I am a physician first. My path began in clinical genetics, and over more than thirty-five years it widened into clinical nutrition and functional medicine.

None of these is a separate service. Together they give me more than one way of looking at the same story, and I use whichever helps you most, in Arabic or English. More about my background.

Context

The life around your health

Health does not happen in a clinic. Family, work, sleep, food, routines and the people you look after all shape it. I ask about them, because they are part of the picture and part of what is realistic for you.

Stress and the wider picture

Stress is part of the story

Stress can influence many systems in the body at once, and it can contribute to, or aggravate, a wide range of health concerns. In midlife it often arrives from several directions together.

So I look at stress, and at how your body regulates itself, as part of the whole picture rather than as a separate topic.

Alongside your care

Never instead of your other doctors

My work sits alongside your other doctors, never instead of them. Each specialist looks closely at their own area. I do not stop or change a treatment another doctor has prescribed.

My concern is not with the diagnosis itself, and I'm not trying to dismiss or challenge a legitimate medical diagnosis.

Your appointment

Your time is yours

Times are kept, nothing is overbooked, and each person has the time they need.
